Recently in an interview I was asked two questions which I could not answer:
1. What are your weekness?
2. Why should we hire you?

Doesn't telling weekness have negative impact in an interivew? How should I handle these questions?

It's a very strategic way when in interview are used this kind of questions, because the people who will interview you will provoke you in a very special way if they ask you to explain them your weaknesses (negative points in your personality, something that you don't like to have but you still have it because it's a part of your personality).
And the second question, why should we hire you, is also very provoking for the one who is being interviewed, because by this answering this question you will show your values, and they will evaluate you according to what you think you can achieve with your abilities.

1. What is your weakness is a common interview question. Most people say perfectionism. This can be regarded as good because the person desires quality work. But, it is overused unless it is true. Also, public speaking can work since most people have trouble with crowds. Just be honest if neither of these represent you as long as you say it is your weakness and you are currently are trying to improve it. Don't worry too much about this question unless your weakness is something major like dishonesty....because the interviewer just wants to see that you know yourself and you are human.

2. The "Why should we hire you?" question is also very common. Just answer this question by highlighting your qualifications and maybe even mention some awards you earned that would be relevant to the position. It is a great question to show how good a fit you are for a job.

Well, I wish you luck in answering these questions in future interviews. Hope this helps.

I would flip the question around.
What are your weaknesses?
-Well sir thats hard to answer, I would say is that my weekness is that I get so passionate about my work that I sometimes dont get to go to starbucks and drink my favorite coffee..

Why should we hire you?
well this one is tougher but highlight your skills again here, your personal favorite line from your resume qualifications section or accomplishments/awards section. Or just state your best personal quality, "well sir my people skills and potential leadership traits would be a great addition to this company" try to throw in a line that shows you did background research with the company also like "especially in the sales department where you are working on the new XL3 Chip" name off something that isnt expected that you know about, here is where you can show off your own research and make an impression that may get you hired.

so... Look Forward to those two questions next time okay, its your chance to get ahead of everyone else, not a tough setback question, and stay positive give an answer of somekind nomatter what question you are hit with.

Good luck on the job searching.

1.
Describe a weakness while showing an example of how you overcame that weakness in the work place or school.

For example:

"I think one of my weaknesses is overcoming the frustration that I sometimes feel when I see my coworkers not pulling in 100%, or just slacking off in general... It's difficult to know the right way to approach it, but the last time I felt that why I talked to the person that I thought was slacking off and let them know that it's pulling the rest of us down."

2.
Another trap.

All you need to do is restate the skills, talents, education, experience, etc., that is already in front of the interviewer that meets the job requirements.

"You should hire me because I have over 3 years experience doing exactly what xyz inc requires and I have a passion to learn more about it..."

Weakness are not exactly a negative thing. If your weakness is that you're a perfectionist then that's a good thing
