here's two businesses that are easy to start.... first on my list is towing. Everybody has a car. they all need to be toed in from time to time, tires go flat, batteries die and people always seem to lock themselves out of their cars. as a sideline you can also do repossessions. The danger is medium to high but the pay is good... very good. All you need is a tow truck and a few good contacts to begin. I can give you those. (you can get started for around $1500.00 with a good older truck and be in the black ink in under a year and ready to expand. I did it.)
If you want a bit more tame life, and I currently do this, as I am now retired from repossessing cars, is lawn care. Takes about $1000.00 to start. Get a used trailer, a used riding mower, a push mower, weed trimmer and leaf blower. Then advertise to places like factories that have front offices to keep up, non-profit organizations that have properties to keep up (i do that), Get enough business, do it better than everyone else, and your reputation will keep you busy. In winter switch to snow removal.
