on adobe photoshop 6 ...how do i make my picture black and white but i want to leave the color of the eyes?? can someone please give me some direction on how to ..thanks

There's a step-by-step at the link below; the basic idea is to add an adjustment layer to your picture to desaturate the original (color) picture to black and white, then paint in the adjustment layer to reveal the color in the original.

Select the eyes one at a time and send them each to a new layer (select, right click, layer via cut/layer via copy). Convert the original to black and white. Make sure the two eye layers are above the original. Hope this works.

Just select the portion you want to change to B&W and leave the eyes out of that part.
