Old statistics, but they will do, since they are staggering, and only got worse:
Gestational Age Percentage Yearly Total
Less than 9 weeks 57.9% 752,700
9-10 weeks 20.3% 263,900
11-12 weeks 10.2% 132,600
13-15 weeks 6.2% 80,600
16-20 weeks 4.3% 55,900
21+ weeks 1.5% 19,500
So how is that compared to live births?
When the unreported abortions are added (income tax evasion, cover-up for privacy, etc.), a figure of 1,800,000 may be more realistic. Live births have hovered just under 4,000,000. Therefore: Almost every third baby conceived in America is killed by abortion.
Liberal, I hope you enjoy you foi gras and Pinot Grio tonight. Cheers.

How many are repeaters?
Repeat abortions were 20% in 1973 but rose to 44% in 1987. In the U.S., by 1995, 45% of all abortions were repeats.
So, what about the concern of how much it would cost in foster care to take care of these babies?
Planned Parenthood’s own figures are that there will be welfare costs of $13,900 for each first birth to a teenager (married and unmarried), and $8,400 cost for each first birth to her if she is 20 years or older. Compare this with the average of nearly $50,000 each will ultimately pay in taxes as an adult.

What's my point?
Oh, I don't know, can we perhaps have an HONEST debate about the attoricities of abortions, and have liberals concentrate on this carnage instead of the right of men who like to have sex with other men to marry?

Yeah, the question again, since you are a liberal imbicile: How's that push, that drive, that program, that quest to decrease abortions in the US and only have them in the case of rape, incest, and threat to the life of the mother?

Ok, I don't think you really want to discuss this issue and when you start name calling you really are showing that you have no concrete arguments. Be that as it may, here are my 2 cents.
I will start taking the anti-choisers seriously when they start seriously talking about the following:
Continuing healthcare for the babies and moms they want to save.
Affordable (in many cases this means free) pre-natal care for the moms to be.
Decent public education
Guaranteed roof over their heads, clothes on their backs and healthy food in their bellies.
Safe and clean environment to live in.
Abstinance PLUS education in high schools
A way for under priveliged mothers or fathers to stay home with their childern or affordable safe day care.
Since you are so fond of statistics look into these. Abortion was at an all time low during the Clinton administration. It has increased during the current administration-along with the poverty rate. This is no coincidence. Countries where abortion is legal have a much lower abortion rate than in countries where it is illegal.
Start addressing those issues and check your bad attitude and maybe we can all come to a resolution about this issue.
My question to you is this. Are you really concerned for the unborn babies or are you concerned with your own salvation?

So, is there a question here, or is this just a thinly veiled effort to chastise those of us who don't believe the way you do?
I've been labeled a conservative for most of my life, and yet you'll find me joining the fight to keep abortion safe, legal, and rare. I just don't think a government has any right to become involved in a decision that's so personal. It should be between the two people that created the issue (pun intended) and their God. Everyone else ought to stay out of it, and judge not, lest ye be judged.
Since you addressed your question to "liberals", I will presume you label yourself a conservative. You're probably a God-fearing Christian, too. Since when is abortion the only sin out there that condemns us? You know, the sins you commit are just as reprehensible to God as abortion. Good thing we can rely on the grace of Jesus Christ to redeem us from our sin, whether its taking the Lord's name in vain, or having an abortion, or standing in the Lord's place and making summary judgments on groups of people whom you neither know nor have the first inkling what their particular situation might be.

Nice numbers - do you think they mean anything to anyone? And will you take care of all the babies that should have been aborted but weren't? Where can we bring them? When your 13 or 14 year old daughter gets pregnant because she has discovered, or is interested in sex, you will insist that the baby is born right? And of course she is going to take care of the baby herself, or you are, right? And she will of course continue her education and take the baby with her to school, or will you drive them both there? And when she goes out on a date, or gets a job at McDonald's, you will care for the baby, right? And when she can't afford food and clothes and rent, you will let take care of them both, right? And then when she is 18, and still can't take care of them, but can't a job because she doesn't have a high school diploma, or can't get into community college, you will support them both, right? There is only one thing worse than an aborted baby, and that is baby brought into this world that doesn't have a chance, that nobody wants, and is dependent on society to make it a useful, contributing human being. Can you tell me that society is doing a good job of bringing up babies that were not wanted?

While I am a liberal, I am no fan of Mrs. Clinton. However the moment you drop your maturity level to that of a 9 yr old by calling her "Hilladyke" any point you might have made with me goes right out the window. Congratulations on proving that conservatives are mean spirited people who cannot debate effectively without resorting to name calling and hair pulling. Have a nice night.

My guess is you have the means and education to support a baby. When you are 15, homeless, poor and sick every day from pregnancy, then MAYBE you would have a right to say what you think is right or wrong. Stupid to be 15 and all the above? Try forcing to term pregnancy. Look out economy, DCFS.

We are already in deep doo-doo in this country because there aren't enough jobs or enough money to support the current population. Just imagine what turmoil this nation would be in if all those had been live births!! Not to mention what the updated number would be.

Dude, get over it. It's a woman's right, pure and simple. If she doesn't have a clinic, she can STILL abort the child herself in other ways. In fact, I encourage ALL women to have abortions.

ahhhhhhh, blow it !!!!! One has a right to an abortion...it is none of your damned business what one chooses to do with her pregnancy....don't be pissed at Hillary...or anyone else for that matter....Hillary didn't have the abortion, hillary didn't perform the abortion.....why don't you get angry at yourself for being so damn holier than thou! When you can walk in any woman's shoes who has had an abortion, you'll never know what circumstances brought her to it! Get a LIFE!!!
