Disgrace has been the basis for this act due to a sense of shame. The question one must ask to the penitent heart is who is casting this shame upon you. The God of all grace has set the one free who has cast this shame before Him; and He remembers it no more.

I think the traditional part of seppuku is a beautiful thing, but I don't really "believe" in it. I don't think I could ever kill myself, even if I was living with shame or whatever...

Dishonor requires it to be performed. Better to perform seppuku than to live in dishonor for the rest of your life.

Seppuku is awesome! And by awesome I mean totally sweet! Anyone who says otherwise is a loser and/or idiot! My friend Mark tried it with a frisbee!
