I've been to Europe-parts of it anyway, and geographically, it's beautiful! And I think the people by and large aren't that different from the people in the US-they want a safe place for their kids, good education, etc. I think there are different morals and values in some parts of Europe-some are more liberal than us and some are much more conservative.

I am not too keen on the EU, and I think the French need to obtain some gonads.

Europe is a great place. I love America, and would never leave it, but visiting Europe is great. So much history. So much has happened there. I agree with the other person who said that if the European countries would get together, they would be a country to deal with.

I think Europe is forgotten about too much. History is important and Europe is the basis of our history. Too many people just don't understand foreign countries because of the language barrier.

Now what do you think about the U.S.?

I think it has one big thing in common with any other culture. You can't put everyone form Europe one type of classification - they're too diverse of a people to do that.

And based on the other answers, I can tell you that I don't think like the other Americans. So it just proves that we Americans are varied in our responses.

Europe is rich in history, has some highly educated people, and they are very much set in their ways. You cannot classify Europeans as one type of culture or group them together as one, other than as a huge trading partner.

Yes, we'd love to visit there.

Most of the people are great except maybe in France. We did a 3 week tour and enjoyed all the sites and wonders of this land. The French people went out of their way to show their contempt for us,I don't know why maybe our deoderant? But they wern't wearing any for sure. lol. But I am sad that they have chosen to be so dependant on their government and chosen a socialistic way of life. It really shows in the way they are taxed and very unhappy. But some say they are much smarter than Americans. But if that's smart then I'll just stay dumb.....

I've only been to Italy and France but I was thrilled to be there. The countries were beautiful. People were courteous and hospitable. There are great differences in their culture and ours. It seemed to me that there was more importance to the good of the whole society than in the individual. Brazil was also very much like that. In fact, the Brazilians really seemed to enjoy being part of community events.
So, in my opinion, Europe is fascinating, historical, different.

A gang of individual countries with individual agenda who happen to be compressed together between the Arctic Ocean and the Mediterranean.

They speak different languages, have different customs, and given the right opportunity, with the right power, each one would gobble up the others in a matter of minutes.

The fact that we, here in America, tend to trust them, says that we may not be as smart as we think we are.

Kelly the only gonads the French have are the rocky mountain type. Most people are the same the world round. They are too busy with their on life's to worry about the stupid of the government. By combing after all these years they want to be another US. Have no idea if their history will let them.

I think that most of Europe has lost the will to defend it's culture. In the spirit of humility they are handing over their countries to socialists and muslims. They need to get back to the strength they had in the early 20th century.

A beautiful place, with dismal economic policies. I was quite disgusted when France backed down from its attempt to make a trivial (but long overdue) change in its labor laws. Eastern Europe is doing better: having lived under communism, they recongnize the stultifying hand of government, and are considerably more liberal in their policies. (The term "liberal" used in its old sense -- not the sense in which it is now ususally used in the US.)
