I have a AMD and a Pentium. both are older computers, and work well. I want to make one pc thats faster, could I use one mother board to run video, and the other to handle everything else? if so how?

What you describe is a 'loki' in Linux.

Three or more hooked together is a Beowulf Cluster.

I use ClusterKnoppix, but, there are about twenty LiveCDroms that can cluster computers over ethernet cabling, through switchhubs.

And, only my master/gateway system actually has a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and hard drive!

The cluster 'client nodes' all boot PXE from Intel ethernet boot cards that cost me about $1.00 each on eBay.

All the computers 'share' their resources, like RAM, Processing, because the Master/Gateway system farms out tasks to each client node.

Sandia National Laboratories in Washington State has the biggest Beowulf, with 10,512 processors, though there are a list of Top 500 Multi Processor computers! It is the 'Fastest' computer on the planet, for the moment!

ALL the movies since Titanic - 1997, have been rendered, and special effects/animation/backgrounds all done on Linux clusters of 64 networked dual processor desktops!

you could walk into a room with 64 Microsoft computers on a network, pop in a "parallel Linux Cluster CDrom" and have a super computer, until you re-boot back to the droll and useless Microsoft Windoze virus magnet!

if u want faster comp, thy fastest way of making it faster is adding more ram. you cant connect two motherboards together. a motherboard is set up to be a whole computer, it has bios and everything, you could make them both run seperately though and connect them together in your network like normal computers can, and then write your own program to make all mouse signals or w/e of one be transfered to the other, but that wouldnt speed anything up, lol

Two motherboards running at the same time? What would the powerpack have to be?
Just buy a video card and run it on the motherboard for everything else.

I've never heard of this being done. Upgrading the memory and video card would probably be easier.

It would be easier to cluster them together using Linux. You connect them using a network cable that way.
