The chemicals in nail polish will cause health problems for the baby.
To answer your question, its not normal... but whatever floats your boat... and your baby's boat.

I've always liked the smell of nail polish...I'm not sure why. You shouldn't inhale the fumes though while you are pregnant, there are harmful chemicals that could effect your baby.

First off, you should stop right away as the chemicals in the fumes can cross the placenta. Also, tell your OB/GYN about this - I know that there is some syndrome called pica that you can have pregnant. It can cause you to have cravings to eat all kinds of weird things like dirt and chalk, etc.. It's important that you let your doctor know this for the safety of your baby.

Are you smelling it or huffing it? If you catch a whiff while putting it on, no harm.
Personally, I'm partial to gasoline. But if you like the fumes because of the way they make you feel. Stop now. For you, your baby, and the rehab costs you'll save yourself.

i dont think that is healthy for the baby try and find something else that smells good, or just have someone else do your nails, you deserve a little pampering after all you are pregnant and should be taken care of :)

alot of weird things happens when your pregnant my mother used to like eating dirt...yeah thats crazy but be sure not to smell to much of it. it could hurt the baby

That's a "high" Ur getting there...it wont hurt your baby...but hopefully you wont GRADUATE to paint or glue sniffing...that would hurt your baby...(glue and paint destroys brain cells)

tell your doctor and dont act on it the fumes can harm the baby. but tell ur doctor so he/she knows ....
