I for one think we should be prepared to go to War if they decide to shoot that missile and it lands over here..Not trying to scare anyone but its a fact that could happen real real soon..

I also think that a draft is going to take place because all our men are in Afghanasta protected them, but who is going to protect us over here. I would bet money that it wont be long before they institute a draft. Anyone think so?

I feel very concerned. I feel that we are on the brink of war, and not even an Iraq war, where we send the fewest number of people over who we think can get the job done, but a full-out WWII style war with a draft. If North Korea does use a nuclear weapon to attack our west coast, I don't see how it could be avoided. I think we might even have to respond with OUR nuclear weapons if they do such a thing, since North Korea has a huge land army and our army is overstretched as it is in Afghanistan and Iraq. We are not prepared to fight a land war in Asia, just like during the Korean War in the fifties. I just hope and hope that that does not come to pass. So many people would die on both sides.

I think they may not have capacity--yet--to attack the US, but they could easily attack our allies, Japan and South Korea, and what would we do then? What could we do, with our hands already busy on the other side of the globe?

People are talking diplomacy right now in the US, but I wonder if Kim Jong Il will consider it himself, or if he is bent on war. I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Big Daddy has made the best point ever. No one questioned Bush going to war in Iraq even though he based it on unconfirmed evidence and the nation wanting vengeance for 9/11....which was another country. Why does he listen to the U.N. this time? His excuse for exhausting options in Iraq is flimsy. I'm not for war, but not targeting N. Korea seems like an inconsistency.
Also, every Bush supporter I've talked to says that Kerry would have been worse....can someone please explain how he could have done a worse job in Iraq than Bush did? Was he going to let Saddam go and then kill innocent women and children? Every 6 year old I know could do a better job than Bush. But at least gas is more than $3 a gallon

The only way N Korea will get a missile to make it to US territory is if the Chinese ( their ally) help them. They have yet to sucessfully launch the long range three stage missile. And they haven't tried to do it with a payload. The last thing China wants is to have the US military in their backyard. They will step in and control N. Korea before this gets out of hand.

To bad the people of north Korea are not the ones in charge. but Kim Jon IL is power hungry. The missile they fired was headed toward Hawaii but it failed.

What do you propose I do. Stock up on Water and non perishable foodstuffs. Have candles, extra batteries and a full tank of gas. I'm in Florida, its hurricane season, so I'm all set. I will also have to busy on my diet. There is no way I'll get my old uniform on now. But I will be willing to serve.

I just wonder why we'd run into Iraq with no solid proof of anything, but we have solid proof that N. Korea has weapons that the international community believes it should (they tested them!!!) and we're too afraid to do anything about it. This is one military campaign I would support.

Koreans are not crazy people who want to wage war for no reason...if just the us stops playing the role of the international policeman...stop saying this country is good but the other is bad ...it won't give us what we want!

I'm glad that neither Gore nor Kerry are in office standing around wondering what they should do, what will make them more popular. That Bush is a cowboy and you can count on him to SHOOT.
