About 6% of contraceptive pill users in the US get pregnant each year. This is due mostly because of missed doses. If taken correctly and consistently [a pill at about the same time each and every day, without missing any dose], chances of getting pregnant are less than 1% per year of use.

Yes it is possible if, like said before, you're on any kind of medication that may interact with the pill's effectivness, if you've been sick recently including vomiting or diarrhea, or if you miss any pills or miss take any... if you're unsure for any reason use a back up method of contraceptive.
I have a friend who got pregnant while on the pill, the baby didn't make it... I'm not sure if the pill had anything to do with the baby not making it... but it's always a good idea to be consistant with your pills and listen to your body's warning signs.

the pill is the best form of contraception. however u have to remember if u have been sick during the month and vomitted alot or u have taken other medications that may have hindered the effect of the pill, or u have missed pills by accident during the month, and u didnt take other precautions during this time, then yes there is a great possibility that u may fall pregnet while on the pill.

YES!!! You can get pregnant on the pill.
Some medications, most notably antibiotics, interupt the effectiveness of the pill.
If you are prescribed any medications while on the pill, consult the PHARMACIST at the time you get it filled ... s/he can give you the most accurate information.
Use alternative contraception while taking antibiotics or other meds that could interfere with the pills effectiveness, and for a time afterwards,.

Trust me you can get pregnant while on the pill, I have a 9 month old to prove it. Doctor thinks it was too low of a dose for me. Now I take something different. Best of luck to you.

Yes, I did. It was 16 years ago, and I forget which one I was taking. We had switched to a low dose because of side-effects; and admittedly, I did not take it consistently at the same time every day the way you're supposed to.
I believe it was meant to be. We've had a very rough road, but I couldn't imagine life without my son.

i got pregnant with twins on the pill my Dr. said it was because i had been taking an antibiotic for 2 weeks and it counter acted the pill

I did. I accidentally forgot to skip the week of my period, and started a new pack, i guess being OVER protected didn't work!
