I actual ought to agree. The X mens powers were actual impossibliltys that doesn't be achieveable in our international. at the same time as genetic mutations can produce people that are swifter (with extra acceptable muscle tisuse) smarter (extra acceptable IQ or swifter electric powered impulses) they is merely unable to furnish someone that would want to shoot laser beams out of the their eyes.

No. They are mutations off and on in the human species and any animal species, where there's some broken link or something in a gene but nothing that will get your superpowers. That's just plain old escapism science fiction at work.

Mutations occur yes, but where do you draw the line between "super-powers" and "enhanced and/or newfound abilities"?
That is the real question.
Say someone is born with a tail, not exactly a super power, but it doesn't mean he/she isn't human.
Someone is born with the ability to fly, doesn't mean he's a super hero.
Someone is born with feathered wings, doesn't mean he's an angel, but it doesn't mean he isn't either.
Where do we draw the line? What someone sees as "super powers" someone else could see as "gifted".
"Super powers" don't exist.
"Mutations" DO exist.
And so do "gifts".
