As someone already said, it's basically just for quick sexual gratification. I understand, all too well, the appeal of pornography. But a man, or woman for that matter, who feels a need for it is sadly lacking something in his/her life. Such a person could simply be lonely & looking to sexual stimulation in an attempt to fill the void. As for looking at porn in the bathroom: What else could a person do in the privacy of a locked bathroom, while looking at sexually explict materials? Do I really need to elaborate? In my judgement, pornography & other forms of quick physical gratification are a poor substitute for true sexual fulfillment within the context of a loving marriage. This is what my own morals dictate. I don't mean to be preachy, but I speak from experience.

Men read porn mags for the articles that are aimed directly at them, ex; Same reason that women read COSMO. Our magazines add naked girls to them to entice the reader to buy their magazine.
Or they are just really bored with their girlfriend and need something to think about to get their motor running.

Men who say they're reading one are generally just joking.
They get hormonal relief.
They're stimulated by sight (excited by what they see).
The bathroom is a more secure, private place.

Let me give you a bit of insight. Us men don't read. We just say we do to make it sound more meaningful to women.
We do it in the bathroom coz it's the only place we can lock ourselves in and get some peace and quiet from our nagging gf or wife!
