ok im turning 13 this month and i am planning my own birthday party but im having trouble with diciding how to theme my party
at first what i wanted to do was just have both my boy and girl friends then have like 6-7 girlz spend the night and have each of them bring thier fav. movie of all time and we would watch it.
but lately i have been think about other cool wayz to theme my party
any cool ideas?

I like your idea of having a boy/girl party and then just a sleepover for your best girl friends.
Like someone suggested, you could do a movie-themed sleepover, but choose a specific genre of films. Do you and your bff's love romance movies, like The Notebook? Or comedies? Have them bring their whole stash of movies! =)

Do the boy/girl party with lots of music, crazy games, and food from about 7:30 - 10 if that is ok with your parents and maybe have an older reliable teen or 2 to help chaperone with parents there( in den or bdrm,etc) in case something gets out of hand. At your age the kids are sometimes shy about getting started with the fun so have a game that starts as soon as they walk in the door. You can tape a paper on their back with a word, action, sport star, famous teen singer, or movie star or think up your own. Then they have to ask questions from everyone while they walk around visiting and try to figure out what the sign says. You just can't ask what does my sign say? That will break the ice and have them talking and at ease. You can give a prize to the first to answer, or not. Then start the music and have a great time. Then have 6 -8 girls stay and do makeovers, put designs on a tee shirt or sweatshirt, do makeovers, hairstyling, or dancing duo contests. You might end up with a movie when the girls start getting tired. The food you have at the party will be enough for the pj party if you plan ahead. By 7:30 most will have had their dinner and not be too hungry so your food budget will not be that much. Decorate your party area simply because the boys probably won't notice and it isn't necessary to have loads of fun! Make sure to have a party favor bag for the girls that stay over. It could be a brush, sample sized lotions, make up, face cleansers, etc. and can be used at the makeover. Put them in a cute little bag thatthey can always keep as a memory. If you have time make each one personalized in their favorite color or fur/satin,etc. and tie it with a pretty ribbon. Another idea is to make the bags from pink/orange/purple camoflauge and then put a girlie ribbon, feathers, rhinestones, etc. to accent with. I hope you have fun. I remember my 13th well!

For my daughters 12th birthday we had a treasure hunt throughout the city of San Diego. I had 4 teams of 5. (both boys and girls) each in a limo. They had to find various places, one of the clues led to lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. The last clue led them back to my pool. The boys went home after the swim in the pool. I had gift cards for the winning team. While the kids were on the hunt I set up my living room like a night club (siren light, disco ball, moved all the furniture out, sound system hooked to my computer. Stage moved in. Curtains on all the walls. tables setup with candies & candles. wigs and clothes in the closet.) the girls danced all night. They had such an awesome time. It's still talked about.

For the sleepover part, you could do a makeover theme. The girls could bring crimping or curling irons and you could do each others hair and bring nailpolishes to do your nails. It'd be fun. You could bring movies to have on in the background to combine your idea and this one.

You can have a dance party!! Like a battle!! You should brake up into two teams, and then have one player from each team battle eachother!!

u should do willy wonka and the chocolate factory!! lol or a carnival like you rent a park and you set up booths my cousion did it and it was a HUGE sucess
