Need to go school shopping for my daughter.

For modesty long skirts are good and a lot of people wear them. In fact longer skirts will keep you cooler. Less skin is being exposed to the sun (so you don't get hot) and the air goes in and out. If your daughter is small (meaning in elementary) than a mini skirt will work. Overall knee length is best because its not too long and not too short (perfect for teens although they may object and want a shorter one) Skirts no matter what length are totally in right now, since it's the summer! Especially in New York, where all the fashion begins! l hope you found this answer useful!

Skirts are still in fashion. The summer style is sort of full and just above knee-length. Very classy and summery, without showing too much.
Those awful, AWFUL 80s ruffle skirts are in, too, but those are short enough to show underwear, and I haven't seen anyone older than 16 carry that look off.

Of course they are still in at least they were the last time I looked The mini's are the most popular but the long flowy ones that go down to the ankles are very in too.

yes skirts are in fashion, now more than ever.
the good length of a 'popular' skirt nowadays
can range from as short as the thighs to down almost to the ankles (if it goes down almost to the ankles it is called a 'skort'

rule of fashion is that regard.less how good you look, no mini skirts after 35
and if you have lots of thighs and stuff skirts to the knees are better

i'm not big into skirts or dresses. when i do wear a skirt i wear one that goes to my ankles. i love long skirts! they're cute.

ITS ALL ABOUT THE MINI SKIRT, BUT MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE SKIRT WITH THE BUILT IN SHORTS.
