There is an Iowa law that says that you cannot do anything to the flag that would show disrespect toward the flag.

A man in Iowa is being charged for flying his flag upside down because he express his views of the way the U.S. is being run.

No, personally I understand the symbolism of the flag, but it's really just a flag, just cloth, hanging it upside down doesn't really make sense, and I think people who disrespect the flag do it to stir up anger and they want conservatives to get all asshurt.
Our most important right is our freedom of speech. Burning the flag is the ultimate representation of how our freedom of speech should be blind from personal opinions regarding nationalism, morals, whatever. It is ironic, because many people believe by disrespecting our nation through burning a flag, you are disrespecting the very freedom that lets you do it.
Let people who want to disrespect the flag do it. They're just trying to stir up trouble, if they are ignored than they wont be compelled to do it.

Displaying the flag upside down or degrading it in anyway is definately disrespectful. The flag is a symbol for the country and freedoms we have bled for. I would not degrade the flag just because I have a problem with the current administration.
At the same time, it is protected speech under the 1st Amendment. So, I fight to protect that right.

Flying the flag upside-down is the international sign of distress. I have a flag hanging on my wall upside-down that has been there since the Bush regime stole the 2000 election and it will remain that way until the idiots are removed from power.

YES and I think the idiots flying the flag upside down should be
hung upside down beside the upside-down flag and kept there for 24 hours.

I think the worship of flags and other symbols such as Bibles,Uncle Sam, and crosses stems from a time when these symbols were the only tangible incarnations of lofty ideas and isms. People tend to need something to touch to validate their beliefs. It's gotten to the point that the worship of the symbol has become the be all and end all of Patriotism, Religon, and even hate.

Nope i do not discover it disrespectful because some human beings bypass and brush aside different peoples flags. after I talked about someone with a special flag and some human being (american, for sure) grabbed it and stomped on it.

Flying a flag upside down is the sign for distress.
And this nation is definitely in distress, so it is appropriate.
If someone has been arrested for doing this, it is a violation of their first amendment rights.
