a constant trickle or flow from the vagina could be amniotic fluid. if you suspect this, you should call your doctor immediately. if you are periodically experiencing a little bit of fluid coming from your vagina, you are probably suffering from stress incontinence. this is very common in the last few months of pregnancy and is due to the pressure of the baby on your bladder. it usually will go away with delivery, although there are some women who have trouble with their bladder for a few months afterward. good luck with your pregnancy!

Well, not exactly. I experienced this with my 3rd. I thought my water broke and it leaked a little for a few days after they said that wasn't it. It ended up being a tear in the thin lining around the amniotic sac. Not dangerous, just annoying. The tear was very small.
About premature labor. That is only defined by how far along you are, not what fluid you are leaking. Premature labor is defined as labor that starts before 37 weeks. The trickling could be one of a few things: incontinence (inability to control urine), tear in amniotic sac (a test of the fluid can be done easily and quickly to see if it's amniotic fluid; nothing painful at all), or a small tear in the thin membranes surrounding the amniotic sac (need to let them check just to be on the safe side)
Either way, if you call your doctor's office, they will ask you some questions and decide whether you should come in or not.

Some women get a trickling from the vagina because the babys pressure is pushing on their bladdar. It is really easy to confuse this with amniotic fluid leaking. If your amniotic fluid leaks, it can cause infection or preterm labor.
Tell your OB anytime you question what the fluid is. I keep saying that it would be a lot easier if someone would make a panty liner that changed color (like blue) when amniotic fluid touched it, don't you agree?

i have had 4 babies and all of them were early so i know what the signs of early labour are and trickling is definitely 1 of them
if you are leaking alot then you need to go and see your doctor or go to the nearest hospital to be checked out. some women do leak a little bit and everything is normal but not always
i would recommend you go and get seen by a doctor and then you will know for sure

When you hear about trickling...it means that your water sac is leaking and is about to break. This is the start of labor.

Your babys' ambiotic fluid may be leaking. Go to the doc and make sure the baby has enough fluid asap.
Or your water may have broke. Are you having contractions?

could be but you'll definitely know when he/she are ready to come out because he/she will let you know. In the meanwhile if you have a big gush of stuff from your vagina then go to the hospital because your water has broke.

Is the trickling urine or blood? And have you called your dr? If you are really worried about it, I would call. If its urine, I wouldn't worry about it. But if its blood then I would go to the hospital.
