When I got out of jail I was supposed to enter a drug rehab program, instead I left the country. I now have a steady job and have been clean for 6 years. I want to go back and visit my family but I am afraid that when I fly back they will arrest me at the airport.

While there is the possibility that the Statute of Limitations ran on the warrant, I kind of doubt it. In fact, some warrants may never go away. Additionally, although the warrant was probably initially issued for not going to the drug rehab program (and therefore violating either Parol or Probation), there may now be a second warrant because you fled the country.

You need to contact either the Probation Department or the Parole Department (whichever was supposed to supervise you when you were released) and discuss your options. Some states also have websites that permit you to see current warrants. Try doing a search for "arrest warrant" and your state.

Why don't you go home, immediately enter a rehab program and contact your family and stay home for a while? You could get the warrant dropped that way, and if you're really clean you should make it through with flying colors.

genuinely! i became assaulted at paintings, and became given the alternative by the responding officer to both: A. document a criticism, that could ultimately deliver about a unique warrant for the punk B. enable the police officials arrest him the subsequent morning even as he became getting out of his vehicle at paintings. base line, they'd 3 cop automobiles waiting for him the subsequent morning, he wasnt a drug broking service, purely an alcoholic repeat criminal, yet he sucker punched me, so I "sucker punched" him back

If I were you, I wouldn't be as worried about an old "possession" charge....You probably should focus on the "FLEEING THE U.S. TO AVOID PROSECUTION" charges.. you need a lawyer
