I was talking to a man today, and he said, "if there are so many conservatives in the United States, why are things not more 50/50." Uh, hello, the last two national elections were pretty much 50/50. He must live in that box the national media accuses our President of living in. He is so right in his views he cannot fathom that there are many people who disagree with him. How do we get these people to think objectively?

Confirm that he absolutely does not believe in war or violence. Get him to repeat it a few times, that he does not believe in war or violence.

Now punch him in the face repeatedly. If he refuses to fight back -- actually trying to demonstrate his belief, just keep hitting him, he'll come around. If not, get him to say "uncle" and then once you've stopped hitting him, point out that his way forced him into submission to a diabolical political force that would only accept his total surrender.

If he does fight back, after you thug-beat him a while just to make him comprehend the brutal realities of the non-theoretical world, point out that he in fact does believe in war and just learned the number one reason to be prepared for war: To win when a diabolical political force will only accept his total surrender.

Obviously don't try this at home kids. We're just joking here. Liberals are WONDERFUL people; they make it so obvious that all the liberal ideas applied to our public schools over the past 50 years are such total failures.

Confront them with the truth. Be very specific, but very simplistic. Try not to be combative or aggressive, but do be firm about it. Most irrational people, when confronted, will submit to rational thought. I used to be a liberal until I got out into the real world and was b*tch slapped with a dose of reality. I do not think liberals are any less intelligent that conservatives, they just live in an idealistic bubble. It has to be popped.

That's the thing--Liberals aren't objective and the lie to convince others that libs are right and they ignore the truth when it doesn't go along with what they think. It's just the liberal way and I don't see how that's going to change. After all, if the truth doesn't work, what would?

well if you have a group of people who think Michael Moore shits golden truth then it's gonna be difficult to convince anybody. I think that a lot of it is upbringing, abuse in the family, etc. Sometimes it's easier to put blame on somebody else for your problems. It's as simple as the fact that sometimes it's not convenient to listen to facts. I sometimes agree with liberals , like the fact that I think that gays have rights, too. But I also believe that gays should get true equality, i.e. Not being found guilty of killing somebody because you're gay and that would be discrimination. I also think that a majority of gays are leftwingers, and I think that's because they prefer to live in a fantasy world of lipstick and fabulous hair. Bottom line, liberals are "free spirits" and can't be bothered to prance out of the stupid field.
I'm not saying that libs aren't entitled to their opinions, but it's hard to argue on issues of survival and common sense. I am also convinced that Bush is secretly a liberal. He just keeps spending and spending and spending..... but Kudos to him on the killing of Zarqawi. AMERICA, F*** YEAH!!!

The irony of self-professed liberals is that they are complete frauds. A "liberal" is supposed to be someone who is open to new ideas, and welcomes other points of view in order to refine his perspective.

Liberals don't want to hear what conservatives have to say. Liberals have this smugly defiant attitude that they are morally and intellectually superior. This is why I love Ann Coulter's new book, "Godless". She really exposes them for the hypocrites they are.

You're question got off to a good start, but it just went a bit too far. Stick with, "How do you get a liberal to think?" Once you get that monumental obstacle achieved, then maybe we can work on how they think. God Bless you.

Conservatism is a Mental Disorder.

Typically, liberals operate more from emotion, while conservatives operate more from logic. So you'll never get "them" to think the same way you do.

I don't think it's possible. Liberals' views stem from emotionalism. When they think they are thinking objectively, they are only trying to figure out how to justify their position.

Where do you conservatives get off saying 'libs' are more emotional? I think you must be confusing your righteousness with your lack of original thinking and desire to be sheep.
