Sounds like adware/spyware overrideing internet controls.. if you've set the homepage correctly (Tools--->Options---->etc) then thats where it should go.. download Ad-Aware and Spybot... run em a few times and then try setting the homepage.. should clear it right up.

sounds like you have spyware on your system... run an antispyware program.... ad-aware and spybot search and destroy.... clean everything it finds.... go to www.trendmicro.com and run the free online scan..... clean all the stuff it finds..... then run your antivirus program.... if you don't have one avg grissoft has a good free one..... once thats done you should be able to change your homepage back to yahoo.... if not go to www.techsupportforum.com and become a member and follow the links to the hijackthis log forum and follow the directions to post a log so that someone there will be able to tell you the exact steps to take to rid you of the exact spyware you have..... good luck.....

Your home page setting has been Hi Jacked by spyware. You have to run a spyware scan or hi jack this program remover.
