Why the vast majority of U.S. Girls don't wear high heels?

I live in Costa Rica, and here all the girls like to look cute and moderately sexy... they all wear tight tops, low rise jeans, mini skirts and high heels... they all look cute, not sluttish all... Most of these girls have tremendous great body (nice legs, nice waist and perky chest)...However, last year I was in the US and find out that girls there are "very boring" and exciting as a "potatoe without salt"... None of them even look sexy... no skirts... no high heels... no nice tops... Are this northamericans shy of looking sexy and good? Even tough they don't have the greatest body or color for a girl... they should make an effort to stand as pretty sexy girls...
Can somebody give a reason of this? Is this why you hear 'latin are better lovers"?

We are not shallow and obsessed with turning guys on, I read your other questions, maybe being concerned with your appearance all the time is conceited. We dress up for going out and to look special for our guys. If you show all you got all the time there is no mystery. We don't were high heels all the time because its bad for your legs, feet, and back. And I have seen women from other countries that dress as you say and they really shouldn't. Not all women in your country are all that great either, you have fat chicks and ones to skinny. And a lot of women who do dress that way really shouldn't, I know allot of guys agree with this, plus they don't want or have time to deal with high maintenance, prissy,stuck-up women. We have just a little more self respect, and we dress for the occasion and practicality. I wouldn't agree with Latins being better lovers either, (speaking from experience). Your a little conceited don't you think?


I agree with the guys that have answered this question, some women tend to dress frumpy. However, I do not believe it to be centered around the US. I also agree that flip flops are worn to often, please weddings, going out for a night on the town and work are not appropriate. I love to dress up, get sexy even a little slutty sometimes but I also like to be casual and comfortable when appropriate. A time and place for everything I guess that is what I am saying.

Well. Tight tops, low rise jeans and mini skirts with high heels sounds like a slut to me. If a girl walked down the street like that in America they'd get the wrong kind of attention. Girls want to be known for more than just their body - like their intelligence or humor. And unless you went to EVERY state in America you can't use the "majority" to describe American girls. Some girls do wear high heels - but some don't. Being sophiscated with a tough of sexiness is much more appealing than just all out look at my boobs and my butt. I wouldn't talk to a girl that wears mini skirts and a tight shirt because they're obviously interested in other "interests" than I.

Darian you are so right...Here in the states women complain about wearing heels, wearing stockings, its getting to the point that you go into many office around the cities and the laides are getting closer and closer to wearing flip flops to work. I was in a payless shoe store last month in the morning and the girl was wearing a very nice blouse, dress pants and flipflops...Leave the flip flops for the beach they are not intended for work environment unless your a lifeguard on the beach.

I turn on the Spanish station on our cable system and your always seeing the ladies dressing nice, wear heels and looking stunning, i'll admit at times some should not wear the shorter skirts they do.

Wife and I go the the theatre alot...i'm talking stage plays in fancy theatres like broadway. It used to be suits and dress or tux and gowns nows it jeans and dockers. Its just not the same any more.

Please ladies of the states let do the states proud and give a dam what we look like, and that goes the same for the men.

Well it depends where you are in the U.S. Generally, U.S. opinion on sexuality is more conservative, young girls are encouraged by their parents to not be showy and sexy. A lot of girls don't want to portray themselves as slutty or skanky.

Most girls would rather dress fashionably rather than over-sexy and possibly slutty. Latino girls got nicer bodies than a lot of U.S. girls, who may be fat or too skinny.

I went to a wealthy public high school and there was the stereotype that most of the girls there were rich sluts. That was pretty true. They don't dress like sluts, because it would make them seem more crass and less classy, but that doesn't change the fact that they'll do lines off of guys' boners and let everyone in sight bone them if they're liquored up enough.

You need to hang out in the right places. Go to a sports bar and yes the girls look just like the guys with longer hair, but go to a night club, and you will see every girl in heels.

Also go to an uptown bar or restaurant in the business district. Women are required to wear heels ans hosiery in most corporate environments, just like guys are required to wear jackets and ties. Most of the women in those areas will be well dressed.

It truly starts out even as they're youthful people and searching for interest. in the adventure that they don't get it or they get an excellent style of it, then they are going to save doing it as they become old to get or save doing because they were given it. T.V. and action pictures also play an truly impacting position. i'm not truly positive about the full 'widespread women trash the unpopular women because they imagine they the unpopular women are prettier than them and junk' scenario. It in simple terms doesn't sound achievable. yet I do comprehend that they strive against to be prettier and extra acceptable than them with actual visual charm, not with words. I also comprehend that females sense the favor to be commonly used, fantastically by using adult males. women are many times attracted in the direction of adult males so if a guy they prefer doesn't inevitably 'observe' them, then they strive against each and every thing achievable to get them to. and probably if this occurs lots, they in simple terms bypass overboard. There are women available that in simple terms imagine they're undemanding gruesome and imperfect in each and every way achievable. So, they smother themselves with makeup, expensive outfits, and in the adventure that they could get their palms on them, surgeons. i'm not bashing women who placed on makeup, useful outfits, and want to seem good, I in simple terms imagine that is terrible and unhappy that some women do this stuff for incorrect motives.

it sounds to me like you are saying being latins are better than americans, so im not sure i want to answer your question because i hate prejudice people and people who are conceided.

America is different. we dont have to look "sexy" all the time to impress people. infact i know a lot of guys who hate girls that dress like that because its a cry for attention. who cares what your wearing, as long as you dont look like a hobo why should it matter.

in america alot of people are busy and dont have time to sit and get ready for hours to go about a normal day, its a little bit more fast pace here i would say.

im sorry american woman dont try so hard to meet your definition of "sexy" and all of you latinas are better lovers because you dress differently?

I think it's a power thing. In the US, every woman is told she's beautiful, bla bla. That basically means she can go around in sweatpants, hoodies, no makeup... ugh. What I wouldn't give to see some decent girls take care of themselves over here. Coming from Europe, it's been a bit of a rude awakening.

dont know what part of the u.s. u were in but we wear mini skirts,shorts, pants and heels and we look sexxxxxxxy
