It is an error in your registry. Look at all the registry entrys in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and check if they have a quote at thy beginning and not thy end.

System32 Folder Opens On Startup

It is a setting in the registry.
Go to the start button, click and select Run
Type in: regedit
The Registry window should appear
You may have to scroll a little to find the keys listed below. Each time you click on one of the + signs, a subdirectory should open
Click the + in front of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Click the + in front of Software
Click the + in front of Microsoft
Click the + in front of Windows
Click the + in front of CurrentVersion
Click on the word RUN
You will see several values on the right hand side of the registry window. Each is a file or folder that Windows opens when it loads.
One of those should have the name "system32"
If you right-click on that name, you can select delete from the menu that appears, and the annoying system32 window will not longer open
HOWEVER, if you delete the wrong line, it will prevent something else you probably do want from opening.
So before you delete the key, click on the File menu and select "Export". This will make a copy of eveything under "Run". Save it where you will be able to find it if you need it.
Then delete the system32 line.
If this causes problems, return to the "Run" folder in the registry windows and do a File/Import to put the line back.

Good luck

I thought it was just my machine !! I've no idea why, it only started happening about a day ago. I've not changed a thing and there it is everytime I start the thing. I know nothing about computers, but maybe it could be a virus or something, its kind of annoying.

Check your "Start" >> "Programs" >> "Startup" folder to see if it's listed there or a program in there may be launching it.

You probably have a virus or worm or Trojan horse. My computer did this for about a week, then totally crashed. Get it scanned for virus ASAP.
