Stars don't last forever. The sun's gonna go red giant at some point and engulf the Earth. That shouldn't be for a couple billion years though.

That isn't to say we won't destroy the world on our own sooner than this.

Actually, I've heard the sun could do that in as soon as 10,000 year
don't be, if your relationship is in order with Jesus, then there's nothing to worry about. The world as we see it is only temporary, one day a new heaven and new earth will come , the old will pass away, and we will reign with the most high God in His glory forever and ever, amen
I do think that the world will one day end but that time the human species will be extinct. So don't worry you will be dead by then.
Yes, I have been holding in my farts for all my life. When I let go, the earth will be covered in smoldering gas and feces whereas I will cause cataclysmic damage and self destruct the whole earth. You should be worried though. I plan on releases my gas July 9th at 4:45 p.m. on the toilet.

One day it surely will. Most likely causes (with timespan):
1. runaway global warming (100-200 years)
2. direct hit with meteor over 1km in diameter (sometime in the next 10,000 years)
3. solar expansion (in about 3 billion years)

Of the above three, [1] is the only one you can do something about. Don't worry. Do something. Start today, become an activist for change in your own way. Use less electricity (except for Yahoo, of course). Don't drive a car (ride a bike!). Write to your government. Support development of green technologies.

aww...don't worry child even if the world does end, the earth will outlive you by a long shot....so It shouldn't really matter. if you think the end of the world will bring about the end of your existance, you've got it backwards.....the end of your life will bring about the end of the existance of the world from your point of view. if you view the world as something based on your prospective....then yes....when you die...as far as you're concerned the world will end. but if you view the world as a collaborative of the point of views of each individual inhabiting it, then the would will go on after your demise. much like the extinction of an alternative universe could be possibly be happening at this very moment, but not affecting us in anyway

Yes. It will end in about 3.5 billion years when the sun goes into a red giant phase and swells and engulf's the Earth and moon. They both will be destroyed as the sun (star) dies.
