According to López Obrador, all the ballot boxes should have been opened and every vote recounted before the final result was announced. Furthermore, he found it suspicious that counting had happened so quickly, and he noted that during the first part of it, he had the lead.

Why should Mexico be any different than the good old U.S.A.? They are only emulating what they have seen perpetrated here with such a resounding success. Re:george "the weasel" bush

Mexico suffers from so much corruption in every part of its society. I would be very surprised if rampant corruption had not been perpetrated by both sides.

I used to think that chaotic elections were something confined to third world countries, but after the Florida 2000 election debacle, I realized how pervasive election problems are. I found it riduculous for senior citizens in Florida to whine about how confusing the voting process was, and how they didn't understand the ballots.

Folks, if you can't read a ballot, you shouldn't be voting.

I'll wait for the great and powerful Jimmy Carter to decide if it was a fair election. He did such a wonderful job of ignoring the frauds perpetrated by Hugo Chavez in Venezuela that he will definitely uncover something in Mexico because the conservative candidate won.

That nothing has changed. It's the classic story of everything changing but remaining the same. Really, what's the difference between the PRI, PAN, and PRD political parties? Not a damn thing!

Fraud and corruption is the modus operandi of the Mexican government, from its very inception to this very day. From the colonization era, thru the Independance, thru the revolutionary war, thru the industrial, and modernization eras, greed and corruption have ruled pervasively and unopposed.

The only hope, truly, is that one of the political parties, throw out each and every one of its present members and install newer, more free thinking members and truly revolutionize this quandry that we call Mexico.
