were gonna leave you? lets say the child is 6. would you let your child go to live w/ the grandma or would you keep your child at home and tell your spouse goodbye?
just asking cause i saw this on dr phil. just wondering what you would do in that situation. i already know i'd tell my spouse to hit the road.

Your child is exactly that...YOUR CHILD. Hopefully the spouse knew before he married "you" that you had children from a previous relationship. If he doesn't want you to keep your child, kick him out the door. Divorce him immediately.

The spouse would be history--immediate history. How selfish can you get--putting yourself ahead of a child that cannot take care of itself. No questions--the spouse would be GONE>

That child is your flesh and blood and extremely dependent on you and your love and has every right to.The old man is not your flesh and blood and can take care of himself.He's a dirty rotten selfish poor excuse for a man.You can have so much better for you and your child.

If someone told me to get rid of my child, I'd make sure they knew where they come on the pecking list. My child comes before even me. I'd kick him out, then I'd take my child for ice cream.

Hit the road!!!! My son is my first love. And if a 'man' can't accept my wonderful son then he needs a reality check and a different woman; and he isn't really much of a man anyway.
Luckily though, I have a great man who is great to both of us. But I would NEVER choose anyone over my son!!!!

i would tell my spouse to leave because nothin in this world could be more important to you then your child. i dont think i would have to make that choice ever in my life.

The child is a part of you, it's part of your history, of what makes you who you are. If he wants to just "get rid" of it, then he's not in love with you, just with some fiction he's created, and the child is clashing with his delutions, so it's better to get rid of him since he's in love with someone you're not.
