A laptop is a computer, but I believe you are refering to the differences between a desktop computer and a laptop

A desktop computer is made up of several external elements connected together with wires. You need a desk in order to set up and opperate it. It is not portable

A laptop is a computer which uses smaller internal components in order to remain lightweight and portable. It's screen keyboard and a pointer device are all contained within it's folding lightweight case.

That is the best differential description I can give, I hope it answers all your queasions.

There is no difference. A computer is the item, a laptop is the type of item. There are two main types of computers; desktops and laptops. Desktops are stationary, while you can take a laptop anywhere.

You can't play Halo 2 on a laptop.

PC has upgrades laptops won't see in a long time.
Disk space, Ram memmory, processor speed, video and sownd cards. There is a reason why the laptop is smaller, 'cos that way you can hurl it out your door much easier than a PC.

But Imac Rules!

A computer has separate parts (monitor, processor, keyboard, mouse) which means you have to put all that on your desk and cannot bring it with you while a laptop combines all that into a portable gadget and allows you to bring it with you so you can use it whenever you want.
