BEST THING TO HIT THE LANDSCAPE SINCE THE LAWN MOWER. Depending on what brand you buy? Insider info, so don't tell any one else... don't buy the ones you find at home centers or depots or places like target, k-mart, etc. Brands like rainbird and the like are of homeowner quility. You get a year or two out of them & you need to replace 'um. You want what the pros buy, the agricultural grade heads made to last with problems for many years. Go to an irrigation / landscape supply compamy (yellow pages) and buy them there. Brands like Hunter Irrigation, Hardie Irrigation, and now even the ag grade of Toro is making some great, adjustable sprinkler heads. Here is the best part, in most cases the ag grade heads cost about the same as the homeowner grade heads & the ag grade toss in a great, no questions asked warranty. If a year from now your dog bites the top off one of your heads or you run it over with your mower just take it back & they will replace it free. You think rainbird or home depot will do that? no way. You get total control over these new adjustable heads. You control where the water goes & how much water each head puts out. You can use less water in a shadier area then the same head next to it in a sunny area. No more trying to fit your yard to fit their spray pattern. No more 1/2, 1/4, or 3/4 spray heads to buy. The new adjustable heads open from 0 degrees all the way to full circle & you adjust anywhere inbetween. You save time, money and water.
