soccer?-do you mean football?

Yeah, to many teams satisfied with sitting on defence and making no commitment or taking no risks on attack. Many games with scoring so low that the refs easily decide games. Ties resolved by silly penalty kicks. A single goal pretty much deciding most games. Adults encouraged to roll around crying and acting like they are hurt. I like soccer, but hate all those elements. But at least it has that international flavor. And some games, in spite of all those elements working against them, are great: non stop fluid action, back and forth attacks, great saves, prefect connections, and even goals. Still, I think changes are needed to make more games interesting to watch for 90 minutes -- until then, I think it will be more fun to play than to watch (unlike American Football -- if you fast forward thru commercial breaks).

Question is how can someone watch nascar, drag racing, baseball and such kind of boring stuff. Soccer, which is played by the foot is actually football and the fact that the rest of the world loves means something. how many people in the world love baseball and nascar

Really? And fishing is more exciting? It depends on what you like; I'm not much of a sports guy at all, but since I play tennis, I watch it because I like to see where I can improve my game, and because I appreciate just how hard it can be. Same goes for people who play golf, I expect -- there's a boring game for a pure spectator. But you watch what interests you, whether it's downhill skiing, basketball, or granite curling (I thin ESPN even televised the world cup bocce tournament... I didn't even know they had leagues and teams for that....)

i agree that watching soccer on TV is very boring but actually sitting at a game it can be pretty intense sometimes. my brother plays high school soccer and there are a lot of fights and mouthing and all that but its also fun being there in person to see whats going on.

It's human chess. Watch the World Cup. Seriously. It was better than the Super Bowl and way more exciting than some NASCAR race or whatever.

Your question is a statement. For the most part.
And it is normally called Football. American Football is not a very nice game.

omg it SO isn't. And this is coming from a girl who never watches and hates watching sports. I find sports a waste of time, BUT I think that soccer takes a lot of skill and patience and practice to be good. its exciting to watch and difficult to play. I think its an awesome sport.

Soccer is not boring. It is exciting. By the way, I play soccer so you just offended me. It's way better than golf and baseball. You have to admit that!
