Why do we hate on people because of race, religion, political adn sexual alignments? Where does this hate come from? If you say ignorance, then where does ignorance come from? People are people so why is it that we never seem to get along with each other? Please, no religious answers, even though I am Christian; religious answers seem to piss some people off. Just base your answer off your life experience.

Hate comes from the person themselves. It is a seed that just needs frustration and injustice to bring it to life

Where Does Hate Come From

Hate comes mainly from family. Cultures, religions, race, even governmental parties are learned to be embraced or hated from parents. A lot of it is handed down from generation to generation. As the world becomes a smaller place, more and more children are able to break away from their parents mold and are able to be independent and embrace more in life.
Ignorance and geographic separation are probably responsible for how a lot of it started.

Hate comes from not accepting others, simple as that.
We fear what we have been taught to fear, and that teaching can be quite subtle.
As for not allowing religious answers, I think that is kinda of funny, as in my experience, Most people of certain faiths seem to hate the most.

Hate is simply love found through fear.

Hate and Love are so similar it's scary.

They both occupy your mind, nearly unconditionally.
They both create a desire to do "great" things.
They both are capable of reducing a man to rubble, and raising a man to his full potential.

I'd have to say the only difference between love and hate is how it was formed. Love is pure, Hate is perverted.

As the song goes, "you have to be carefully taught" to hate. ['South Pacific,' I believe]

Some people learn their hate from their families. Unfortunately, others learn it at their houses of worship.

For some people, experiences like school or college, where they can meet a diverse group of people their age, can broaden their minds to the point where they question bigoted, hateful sterotypes.

To me, 'religious' people who preach bigotry, discrimination, homophobia and other hatreds are complete hypocrites.

It all stems from fear....."Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger; anger leads to hate; hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you." -Yoda, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. So you see, the real question should be "Where does fear come from?" I say fear comes from life's experiences and death: once we as individuals decide to no longer fear life or death, there aint no reason to hate. That's why even just picking up a Bible can alleviate the anger and fear....when all the Bible says is Fear God- that which you can't see...but maybe Im just a crazy extremist :-P

It comes from observation, like watching the way our parents or friends treat people, and something inside us. Something that is trying to get out and say what it feels. But mostly obsevation.

Upbringing, insecurities, the unkown, arrogance, need for attention, it can be a number of thousands of things.

I personally don't pay attention to people who are like that. Why even bother worrying about it, they don't effect you unless you let them. :)
