The answer is three pounds.

If 3/4X + 3/4lb = X

then X = 3 lbs

If the monkey weighs 3/4 of it's normal weight plus 3/4 of a pound, then that means that 1/4 of its weight is 3/4 of a pound. 4 X 3/4 pounds = 3 pounds.

i would say the baby monkey would weigh roughly 2/5 of whatever a baby monkey weighs.

for example, lets say a baby monkey weighs 5lbs. if a baby monkey weighs 3/4 of a baby monkey (3/4 of 5lbs = 1.25lbs) plus 3/4 of 1lb, that would be 1.25lbs + .75lbs = 2lbs. that's 2/5 of whatever a baby monkey weighs.

that's my best guess.

Three pounds

Let A = weight of baby monkey
A = (3/4 x A ) + 3/4
A = 3A/4 + 3/4
4A = 3A + 3
A = 3
