You ask if 50 cent insults and dehumanizes females. My answer is that he definitely and unquestionably dehumanizes and insults women. However, 50 cent is not alone in this problem. I would content that the problem is deeper than just 50 cent. The underlying and hidden problem lies with not just one individual like 50 cent. Rather, 50 cent is just a symptom of a deeper cultural problem that is promoted by a lot current pop and rap music. Much of this type of music's lyrical content is a product of a generation of young men who grew up without good fathers or role models who taught them the value of women as equals and human beings with feelings and valid thoughts and concerns. Instead, these young men were primarily raised in low-income, fatherless homes where their main educator was television, a.k.a. pop culture. Basically the problem is self-replicating. A generation of irresponsible males who are unwilling to take responsibility for raising their offspring and view women as sex objects try to glorify their lifestyles through pop culture and some forms of rap. The next generation growing up without fathers and good role models emmulates the same behavior because it was glorified in their minds as children and the cycle continues and worsens. Teaching respect of women and being a responsible role model is the best way to break this cycle of disrespect, insult and dehumanization. Women are not sex objects and I fully intend to teach my sons to respect and uphold women as equals just as my father and grandfather taught me. Unfortunately, even though I am male, my point of view is rare amongst the males of my generation.

Sadly 50cent lives in an environment where woman dehumanize themselves. Have you ever watched Jerry Springer? Those people are real. Don't blame 50cent, blame society for accepting it.

Yes-- He is a horrible influence on the youth of our country. Some of the things he says in his songs are completely degrading, insulting, and dehumanizing. He is exactly what we don't need right now in this country, and I am ashamed that he is such a popular music artist.

Yeah, he dose. but its hard for people sitting comfortably in front of there computers answering questions to imagine what it was like for him growing up, and easy for us to judge. In the "hood" women often demoralize themselves, he had to learn it from somewhere. Either way hes selling Cd's, so apparently plenty of people want to listen to him do it.

Yes, but he does it no more than everyone else. This seems to be acceptable in the rap industry.
