No. If we stop every day to acknowledge lives lost to tragic circumstances, we'll have to do it every day of the year. People die every second, of every minute, of every hour, of every day, 365 days a year. Mourn when appropriate, but then move on. Why are those people more important to remember than anyone else killed on this day?

Yes at 12:00 noon.

The silence was awesome.

Everybody was very respectful - even the phones were kept off the hook.

I am saddened by "No idealistic youngfool" 's comments. Yes people die everyday - but these victims were murdered - so do the decent thing and show them respect in future. This way terrorism will never ever win.

By the way, don't think that Belfast America and London are the only countries to be bombed. The world is a volaile place and respect should be shown to other nations whose innocent civilians are the victims of terrorist attacks.

I did and so did all the people in my office. The fire alarms signalled the start of the silence and again for the end. It was very moving.

To be honest no one was given enough warning about 7/7 and that just shows you just how little this country thinks about the people living in it.
