The end of the riddle that I always heard was:

"A wood chuck would chuck as much wood as he could chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood."

But in all seriousness, I have no idea. Try calling a local university and speaking to an environmental scientist or something.

Please Note: IF a wood chuck could chuck wood?

Woodchucks, also known as groundhogs, are a member of the squirrel family. They are excellent diggers and live in complex underground systems of burrows. They are vegetarians and can often be seen grazing near the edges of fields and roadways. They have been know to claw up the trunks of trees, but they don't actually chuck wood.

Below is a link to a website where you can "Meet Duke and Duchess, along with their cubs and grandcubs. View photos and live video footage, listen to recordings, take a crash course on Groundhogs (G'Hog 101) -- even attend a Hoggie Hoedown! Tour the burrows with Thor (a Rottweiler) or explore them on your own."
