I think you are talking about weight gain in pregnancy for overweight women? The extra weight you gain while pregnant should be distributed throughout your body normally, depending on what your body type is. I believe that if you have a small top and a big bottom, or if you are just big all over, then it will continue like that. Check out the website below for more details.

They're right. Not only do you gain the weight of the baby, but you also have a bunch of water in there. Water is very heavy. If you eat more than you need to (which I did) that weight can go anywhere (specifically in the thighs, hips and waist)!
