Actually, it will be exactly like we choose to make it.
At any moment we could all step back and realize that the Earth provides ample resources for every single person to have food, clothing, shelter and medicine and that allowing 10% of the population to control 80% of the world's wealth is stupid.
We could realize that killing each other because we have different names for God is insane.
We could realize that an economic system that promotes corporate greed and profits over contributing to the welfare of all mankind is self-defeating. (why would any company that makes profit from life or death - i.e. drug companies and defense contractors - be profit driven?)
We could, at any moment, accept the scientific fact that at the most fundamental level we are all connected, and that any act that injures one of us injures all of us.
We could then decide to work together to insure the highest possible quality of life for every soul on the planet, and the planet itself.

I certainly don't see things getting better.
I've often told my friends that I believe we are already in some kind of Hell, except we are being tested while we live here ... and after so many years, I am not sure.

I don't know, but if we are blessed to still have a world, a lot of things must change in order for the future to be bright.
