I didn't start wearing makeup until after i started college when I was 19 years old. I didn't think I needed any and neither did my parents. I don't think that 13 year old girls should start wearing make up yet. It's a waste of time and money because makeup is NOT cheap. They should spend the effort of learning how to put makeup on and the money buying them on stuff that may broaden their horizon like books, arts and crafts, or extra curricular activities. They shouldn't be in a hurry to grow up and and put themselves in a position to be mistakien as a older person by the opposite sex..

Well I did as a teen I am 29 years old, when I look at my pictures I feel that I looked like a clown.. I did it on my own. I think she should talk to her mom , and have her mom help her choose make up for her age, any ways now in days the look is to look natural... I think some lip shine and a lil curl on the lashes will not hurt. But she should talk to her mother about this

Why would a 13 year old want to?
Makeup is to enhance a woman's skin and make her look younger - to have fresh glowing skin. Most 13 year olds naturally have that and don't need makeup.
Many women would love to have that fresh, clean, youthful, natural glow of a 13 year old.
Don't be in such a hurry to grow up. You will eventually reach the point where you wish you did not have to wear makeup.

Skip foundation, use just concealer for blemishes, you can try dabbing it on your eyelids too for an eye-opening effect. A little mascara and lipgloss(I don't recommend pale shades all the time, they may make you look washed out so experiment with colours)...usually teenagers don't need concealer undereyes. I know, 'cause i'm a teenager myself :) So, for evenings, you can try a lil bit of brown eyeliner, don't use black it's too harsh. Also when you find a shade of lipstick that makes you feel pretty without any other makeup, u can use it both as blush and lipstick(don't go for browns they make you look older).
Hope this helps :)

I think it is ok if a 13 year old wears makeup I mean as long as u don't over due it. Just wear alittle mascara, eye liner, and lip gloss. That always does the trick. If you don't have acne or just a few zits then don't worry about foundation let your skin air out naturally.

I think 13 is kind of young for full on makeup. There is no need for a girl that young to have foundation, eyeliner, mascara etc. regarless of teenage skin problems ( such as acne) that when your natural features are at there best. I would say lipgloss is Okay that never hurts and may boost her confidence.

At 13, the bodies of young girls are going through so many changes. And the #1 change is their skin. Their skin is confused enough with acne, sweat, pollution and just plain dirt. Stick with a mild cleanser and warm water. As you grow older, you skin will toughen up. Then you can experiment with different shades and styles of makeup. Good Luck

Well I'm 13 I think I can help. Well if she wants too she can wear a light just to show her beauty and I think that 102 pounds is either her growing bones or she eats too much, If she is fat she can look slim if she can take vitamins that can make her tall.

Thirtheen is a wonderful age to start wearing make up. Just make sure she doesn't put too much on, because she doesn't want to look like a whore. At a young age like thirteen, I'd go for a natural look, like lipgloss instead of lipstick. But that's my opinion.

At 13, I personally don't think the girl should even need make-up. A little, in moderation, is all right. That's something the girl needs to talk about with her mother.
