First answer is correct - ppl say it because toothpaste can dry out zits. But toothpaste can be very irritating and it never helped any of my own zits. Use Benzoyl Peroxide (goop it on - don't skimp) - use twice a day after washing, and use a good moisturizer like Nivea Q10 night cream so you don't flake up.

You can buy a gallon of Apple Cider Vinegar at the grocery store for $3.00 wash your face with it straight no water you will not only not have pimples put the softest face you will ever have

I have done it before and it worked for me it dried the zit out and I have beautiful clear skin.

Cause usually has baking soda or peroxide in it which will dry out the acne to make it go away!

actually i had a friend that tried that and the toothpast left a mark just like a hickey would it was funny when she had to explain to her bf that it was from the toothpaste. it dont' work. it just burns your skin and gives you a minty fresh smell. lol\

well if you put the paste (not the gel) on the pimple overnight it will help. i think it dries it out. but it does work. trust me ive used it for that.

One or two spots - it will dry them out - but only once in a while. See the doctor, they'll sort you out!
