because they are too cheap to get a babysitter and too inconsiderate for other movie theatre viewers.

This infuriates me as well... Why on earth would you want your three-year-old to know all the four letter words, sex-talk, and more before they are even in kindergarten? I know I didn't learn about that stuff until I was a lot older. All they are doing is creating a more violent generation. I guess the reason people take their kids is because they are too ignorant to realize that their kids are most malleable at that age and will repeat everything they hear. The way I figure it, if you're not going to be a smart parent, then don't have kids.

That's a very good question. I am from England originally and there if a movie is rated R (actually called '18' over there) a child cannot get in even if they take both parents and their grandparents !
I first discovered how it was in America when I went to see 8 Mile. I was astounded to see parents taking children as young as three there. I was further amazed to see that one parent covered her child's eyes when one of the actresses was naked (you could only see her butt). But they did nothing when people were being beat up and shot. I guess it is better that they see senseless gang violence, but god forbid they see some nudity.
I think they should change the law and simply ban underage people from such movies, in order to protect them from their incredibly stupid and irresponsible parents.

Yeah, no kidding! When I went to see Underworld: Evolution there were like 5 kids running around screaming. Why do people bring their kids to movies other than G or PG rated? There should be a law...

Because they are disrespectful idiots. They won't pay for a sitter and take the child to an adults only venue ruining it for the rest of us because the child fidgets and talks or crys thru the whole picture.

Because theyre selfish people who dont care about their kids.
They're even dumber if they don't trust a baby sitter but bring them to some nudie slasher flick.
