Both of these players emigrated to Germany when they were young and had the chance to play for either Polish or German
national team. They chose the later. And from the looks of it ,they made the right choice. Although Poland made dramatic impact
in 1974 World Cup in Germany by beating Argentina, Brazil , Italy
Sweden and Jugoslavia and finishing third overall, just like they did in 1982 in Spain. They failed to go past first grup stage in 2002 and 2006.

Podolski and Klose went to germany to play soccer so they staye there and got germany citizenship and thats why they played for Germany in world cup 2006.

Well, they're from Poland, but they have German citizenship. So they play for Germany.
