Several things, but let's start with drugs. Anyone with some cash can purchase any type of illegal drug. Since the trafficing of these drugs cannot be stopped, control should be the goal. If they were legalized several things could be accomplished. Gangs would lose thier financial strength. The strength and purity would be guarenteed and they would be taxed. The profits and the taxes collected could be used for drug education. The D.E.A.
(drug enforcement agency) would be eliminated, saving BILLIONS of dollars.

In general, victimless crimes, or crimes that are unlikely to create victims.

For example, I'm for certain guns being illegal because they are likely to create victims. Guns are intended to shoot, and the ones that are illegal are designed to shoot either a lot of people or people wearing protection to ward off bullets.

But, I'm for legalization of most drugs - they're not designed to harm others. Laws forbidding drinking and driving exist, and those laws should be expanded to include drugging and driving.

Prostitution is not designed to harm others - yes, there's the potential for it, but I honestly believe that if it were legal, it could be well-regulated with safety standards similar to any "high risk" job (like the Alaskan Crab fishermen on "The Deadliest Catch"). I believe there would be a decline in drug dependency, violence and STD's in women who were allowed to "ply their trade" legally.

So that's basically it.

Marijuana. I think people are more apt to do stupid things when they drink than when they smoke.

Also prostitution. If somebody wants to pay for sex then let them do it.

Maybe if the government would tax the above two things (things that are never going to go away) it would help the deficit.
