Ask neighbors if they need help mowing laws or carrying groceries, or taking their dogs for walks. I know our neighbor's boy earned a small fortune shoveling snow. He earned so much that he bought himself a snow plow and really made the big bucks. He was around 12 at the time.
If you don't have snow in your area, then sweeping the sidewalk, weeding, things like that can give you good tip money.

hard work is the secret, my dear friend, hard work
when it comes to resources, if you don't have that much (in your case, your age is a disadvantage) try the chinese philosophy when it comes to business... it's ok to sell it cheap, as long as you have a lot of buyers.
i know that doesn't answer the question -- what im trying to say is, try to work on even small things. you are too young to get a job at the mall or something. when you have a disadvantage, the only way to find a job is to accept the opportunity that is right in front of you, don't choose. small salary, more jobs = more money.
what i did when i was your age? i offered to help my relatives when they're going to clean their house and sort things out. i cat-sit for my mom's friend, i did laundry for some neigbors and so on. if you want to make money, don't be choosy. beggars cannot be choosers.
i have a co-worker right now who's looking for a second job but he is so friggin choosy! up to now, he couldn't find a second job because as soon as he's set for interview, the company declines him because he's asking for way too much and a high starting salary. he'd come up to me and ***** about not getting second job, how he has a family and a house to pay for blah...blah...blah... finally i told him, "shut your pipe! the opportunity was right in front of your face, and you didn't accept it because you are too picky -- this is what you get for being too picky. instead of getting 2 jobs, you only have 1" -- i wanted to bang his head on the wall. first of all, why would he complain to me? im not GOD?! even if i were, i wouldn't help choosy people like him.
so i hope you don't end up like him.

OK so what do you want to hear? work is a four letter word...and at 12 years of age all you can do is work - once you make some money - make money work for you - that's right invest it and watch it grow - but there are no shortcuts kid - if you don't believe me check out the cemeteries jails and juvi halls for drug dealers - they took shortcuts good luck in your endeavors

The best thing for a twelve year old to do this summer would be going around to your neighbors and ask them if they need cars washed, or plants watered, or dogs walked. If you have a bike maybe go see if there is a paper route available in your neighborhood. Good Luck!!

...sell some drugs? I used to do that. Then again it could just be the area I grew up in...You could steal stuff. That's really easy for kids to do.
