Check your source. He DID NOT put that on it. And the president has NO right to break the law. And he hasn't "yet".

Many Americans are outraged over this.

It is definitely not right for the resident (oops, I mean the president) to ignore the law of the land. If Richard Nixon was not above the law, neither is Bush!

The Geneva convention, which we signed, already bans these things. I am not surprised that GWB thought it was necessary to be redundant and make another law covering this. Nor am I surprised that he would choose to ignore it. He has already ignored numerous laws that cover checks and balances in this country. Outrageous, absolutely, will his sheeplike supporters think so NO

You should do much more research into your statements nad accusations. Then compare what the U.S. has been accused of as far as torture,to what our present foes are doing. Then, maybe, you could develope a Patriotic backbone and support the President and our Military. And our great country.

He doesn't actually reserve that right, as far as I know. The write-on, or signing statement as it's commonly known, doesn't carry the force of law. It would be unconstitutional if it did, because only Congress can make law.

No, but if all you do about it is write angry questions on Yahoo!Answers, don't come crying to me. Join Operation Democracy and let's get control of Congress away from the Republican empire-builders.
