I am a 22 year old male and the skin on my face has deteriorated very rapidly over the last year. The skin around my eyes is all blackened, my cheeks have gone gaunt, the skin seems to be ageing very quickly, it is reddened and rough and the pores are very visible and generally looks very unhealthy. Can anyone please offer me some advice as i have tried to lead as healthy life style as possible but my skin is still deteriorating.

See a dermatologist. Hmm, in the meantime, maybe

1. get more sleep
2. drink lots of water
3. eat less spicy foods (if having heartburn)
4. use cold water to cleanse your face
5. eat more (gaunt?)

I've found that most of these actions produce healthier looking skin.

Please go see a doctor - it sounds like more than just a skin condition. Your blackened eyes and gaunt cheeks are what's worrying me more than the reddening and visible pores. If you've already done all that and received no help, have you been exposed to chemicals or toxins of any kind? Ordinary household cleaners, paint, etc etc?? Please go to as many doctors as it takes until you find out what's wrong.

Stay out of the sun, an dif you MUST go out, use sunscreen and wear a baseball hat. Wash face daily and use a moiturizer daily. Drink lots of water and you can get a blackhead extractor at almost any drugstore wheere the toenail clippers are sold.
If you don't see results check with a doctor.

What is your diet like? If you eat a lot of junk food then your skin will most definitely reflect that.

oddly enough mayonaisse is an excellent skin moisturizer...just spread some on your face for about a 1/2 and wash off....repeat often and your skin will improve....

You could have a vitamin deficiency. If you don't already take vitamins, start taking them. Start with a multivitamin.

Check out the link below. It talks about vitamins and what they do for you.
