By "acting straight", I assume you mean "has sex with women"? Cause...that's the only difference.

That issue aside, can't help you with knowing, or knowing for sure if everyone's gay or straight. If they're interested in YOU, however, I can help with. I've always noticed it's all about the eye contact. Make and hold eye contact for a little longer than you normally "should". If he returns it, and if he in turn initiates it again, bingo. If he makes a point to not return it (looking away at something else, but not too quickly or suddenly) he's not interested. If it's sudden, he might be but he's doing the embarassed thing. I think you might need to pick this up with some experience from guys you KNOW are gay, but check it out.

Without repeating too much on what has already been said. Being 'gay' is society's way of grouping together a whole diverse group of same sex attractions. We all have friends and acquaintances and those relationships are based on attractions of some sort. You may not sit down and analyze these attractions, but this is what causes us to bond socially. I guess in some ways this is where gaydar comes from - when people pick up on levels of attraction. The point is you should trust your instinct, which is different from what you want to happen. If all else fails just go with the flow if it's meant to be it will happen, if not well move on!

You cannot tell if a man is gay or straight from appearances or actions..unless of course, you walk in on something. There are very butch Gay men, and very "fem" straight men. I have no idea what you are looking for in the way of help. I suggest that if you have a target in mind, if you have not been cruised, leave it alone. Good luck

There is no way of determining a persons sexual orientation unless they tell you themselves, or make it publicly obvious. Only stereotypes assume that you can look at a person for 10 seconds and say "yes, he's gay,".

I have a friend who acts feminine at times, but he is completely straight. There are also straight seeming homosexuals. People often mislabel me - some assume I'm straight and others assume I'm gay. In reality, I'm bisexual.

Masculinity doesn't equate not being gay. More gay men are masculine then gay fems. They just don't stick out. In your case drop a couple of code words to find out what his favor truly is.

Well - if he is straight, he is not acting.
Is it that you wish him to be NOT straight.
You are confused.
Ask him to act gay and guess whether he is really straight.

Or just give him a kiss and he will tell you.

Sometimes eye contact works. Str8 guys will either look away, or start to get edgy when you maintain eye contact while talking.

You can tell if he does something kinda girly, but most of time I think you should just wait until he comes out to you.

Tell him to dance. If his arms wave above his shoulders, he's gay.
