1) Lower trade barriers so that North American and Europeans will buy agricultrual products from the third world. If local farmers can grow things to sell, they will grow more.

2) Debt relief for third world nations. Quite a few have high taxes to pay the debts they have. If we forgive the debt, they can lower their taxes and reduce the burden on their citizens. If their citizens have more money, they can buy more food and grow more food.

3) Find a way to educate as many children the third world so that they will grow up to be productive citizens.

You can't stop world hunger totally. But if you really want to do something about it, why not start by visiting www.thehungersite.com? It's a non-profit organization for charity group. When you're at that website, just click the donate button, the corporate sponsors will each combine to donate a portion of food to anyone that needed it. Spread the word out.

In addition, if you want to be an active member, you may join some charity or volunteer groups to raise funds, educate and participate any charitable events.

First and foremost, create less food waste. The less we waste, the more there is in the whole market. Then establish trades among prospering and needing countries. Be sure the food is given equally among families in those countries (X amount per person), and not controlled by war lords. And continuously make hunger awareness among the top topics talked about in all countries. The more that people are aware about it and what is going on with it and how bad it is, the more they are willing to do something about it. (Americans seem to easily go from event to event, forgetting about one because it is overshadowed by another) I am American, but it seems that people tend to forget things when something else comes along. Partially because of themselves and partially because the US news only reports on things for short periods of time. Then it changes to something else and never goes back to the subject. Typically to find out more information about something at a later time that it's original broadcast, a person will have to come online to follow up on it.
