Titanic but if you adjust for the rate of inflation - 'Gone with the wind'.
More tickets were sold per million dolers for 'gone with the wind' than 'titanic' - so probably more people saw GWTW in theatre!

I'm sorry but Titanic is not highest grossing movie of all time, you do need to take into account inflation.
The actual list, if memory recalls... titanic is number 15th in the list.
1) Gone with the Wind
2) Sound of Music
3) Star Wars
4) Et
5) Jaws
Gone with the Wind made over £140 million in the 1940s - that is an awful lot of money!!!!!!!

I think Star Wars III brought the most money in, people who are saying Titanic, that movie costed the most to make.

well, that is relative to inflation. AN older movie will not make more than a movie in current dollars, simply because it costs more to go to the movies today.
Maybe you should ask what movie has sold the most tickets ever?
