We did have a de facto Female President before which was Edith Wilson who fulfilled most of the Presidential duties in the last 16 Months that her Husband Woodrow Wilson was President.
Woodrow had a stroke and instead of Vice President becoming the acting President, Congress allowed for Edith Wilson to be acting President.
So technically we have had a Female President already even though she was a de facto President.
No way would I vote for Hillary CLinton for President.

As much as I don't care whether our president is male or female as long as the person is capable, Hillary Clinton is far too liberal for me. At the same time, I'm sure that there are a lot of people who have no desire to have a female be president. I think if Hillary is going to make a legitimate run at office, she's going to have to find a way to appeal to the moderate and/or swing voters.

No, and yes. I think we're ready for a female President, but I would hope that people wouldn't vote for her just because of her gender. For instance, based on what I know today, I would vote for Condi Rice, but not Hillary.

for the first commenter: pigs can fly, they're called police helicopters. but any way i do not think it would be a good idea just because of the state the country is in right now and that women are naturally more emotional than men. if it was a peace time than i think a woman could keep it peaceful better but for now if we really want to take a step in that direction we should start with a black president and work our way up

she gained't. if she runs it is going to likely be in 8 years. next election may be the incumbent pres and a republican. except obama receives impeached and a couple of/3 vote to eliminate him or he's assassinated or dies otherwise. i wish none of which will take position, yet i don't believe of it is going to. yet when she were to run in 8 years, it actual relies upon on what's she's executed by using then and who else is operating. i did not vote for her in the primaries, yet i does not unavoidably count number her out even although i did not choose her to be president this time.

1. No, Hillary is a corporate puppet and way too partisan for any free thinking voter.
2. The U.S. may be ready for a woman president but she is certainly not the right woman to bestow that honor.

Yes, the US is ready for a woman president ... but not Hillary Clinton.
The US does not need a Nazi dike b-word (rhymes with witch) for president.

NO. First, she's a Clinton, we all know what happens to Clintons.
Second, the state of Michigan made a mistake of electing a woman governer (I'm not being sexist or anything)
