Have you ever seen a 250 year old alligator snapping turtle?

I have heard (from multiple credible sources, not the usual "Oh, I heard this") that somewhere out there is a snapper that had a bullet embedded in it's shell that dated back to the civil war... and you can bet whoever shot it didn't shoot it `cause it was small...;)

I don't know how old it was, but I saw one that was about three feet in diameter. His head was about as big as my fist.
