If you're buying something, it depends on what the seller wants for payment. Some you can pay with money order, personal cheque, bank cheque, cash, or paypal.. some will take direct credit card payments.
To register as a seller, it's much easier if you have a credit card but you can register using a voided cheque.

No, you don't have to. Some sellers will accept checks or money orders. You can also sign up with Pay Pal to have funds come right out of a bank account instead of using a credit card.

PayPal is a GREAT way of paying for stuff on eBay. To sell on eBay, you MUST have a credit card, even though you don't have to use it.

no, you can have the buyer send you a money order or cashiers check. Personally I would not recommend taking personal checks or sending cash in case of lost mail. Pay Pal is easiest and it goes through an account you set up like your checking.

you can do the bank transfer... but to do that they have to verify your bank account by making a couple small deposits by direct deposit and then you have to go online and verify the amounts and such... it seemed kind of a pain to me so I never did it. A yard sale was way easier! lol
