I think it's very wrong that you're credit was messed up trying to help someone in need But, you have to look at the bigger picture that's you're family. You should never turn your back on your family. In the end you family should always be there for you. Get your credit together and just know that you can't trust that person financially. But don't turn your back on your family. They're all you got.

It wasn't right of her to do that to you, but family is more important than money. The question is, why didn't she pay it? Is she in genuine financial trouble and couldn't have paid it if she wanted to? Or was she out spending money on luxury items, going to concerts, buying jewelry for herself and just not paying her bills? When it got turned off, how did she act? Did she apologize, was she sorry for what she did to your credit or did she just brush it off? I'm not sure I'd stop talking to her entirely, but never loan her anything or let her put anything in your name again.

You had every right to turn the phone off if they were not paying, if they knew up front they were to be paying for it. I dont think anyone should ever stop talking to a family member. Life is too short to hold grudges.

I guess it depends how much money is on your credit now because of it. I know I wouldn't be happy if that happened to me because of someone. If it really is a large sum of money, I would talk to a lawyer about it. But you winning the case might not happen because obviously the phone was in your name. They are a family member don't make objects worth more than they are.

Ask her why she did not pay the bill. Then ask if she can pay you back and when. Money is a small reason for not talking to family. Work something out with her, OK?

Please follow these simple rules of life.

1)Never do business (loan money) to friends or family EVER
2)Never become roomates with your best friend ( you will wind up enemies)
3If you do loan money to friends or family, don't call it a loan , call it a gift. If you get it back then great but you should consider the money lost.

no, even since YOU were nice enough to get her a phone. i would just cancel her service until she pays you back. if she did it this time, she'll do it again, unless you stand up for yourself. hope it works~
