God Knows I can't stand his illiterate self, but He's from Texas so he basically grew up sourrounded by immigrants illegal and legal. I've watched some of his recent state of the union addresses...even though he doesnt specify all of his ideas I think he has some of the best ideas...for instance he's against amnesty but for some type of tempory work program....what do you all think?

If only he had a clue about half the things he's said...if everything was from his own mouth, and not some prewritten script it would really expose how illiterate he was

George W. Bush is hardly illiterate. He has a Bachelor's degree from Yale and a Master's degree from Harvard. He has been a military officer, a jet pilot, a successful businessman, the Governor of Texas, and now, the most powerful man in the world. I may not agree with everything he does, but I certainly don't hate him. I don't even know him. Where would we be if we started to hate everyone we disagreed with? In any case, he is still better than the guys he defeated in the last two elections.

I don't hate him but I hate the vast majority of his policies. Agreed, I think his attempt for compromise on the immigrant issue is the most workable (although I think of that as domestic policy).

Uh.... I'm trying to think of another one.

Right now, I can't.

Uh, Don M (below)... He was a horrible business man who was frequently bailed out by his Dad's family friends. The only business that he left better off than when he bought it was the Texas Rangers, and that was purchased by Thomas Hicks - who Bush then appointed to office to head up UTIMCO.

I don't know if his service really qualifies as "military officer".

His record in Texas is pretty awful. Texas fell to almost dead last in education, Houston became the most polluted city. Had the highest rate of working people without health insuracne. Had the highest rate of uninsured children.

Not to hot there.

Theories on Foreign Policy? Is that the punch line?

Remember "Reagan Amnesty" in '86? Bush's plan is almost identical, except it grants amnesty to millions more people. Reagan also hated the word "amnesty" and it never came up in the bill, nor did he ever acknowledge it was amnesty. Bush is no different. Calling a turd by any other name doesn't make it smell better.

Neither Bush administration would have so cowardly allowed an attack on one among our embassys to bypass on for 7 hours without sending help and suggestion. We had defense force elements as close as one hour away. We now understand the administration knew interior minutes that the embassy replaced into less than attack because they were observing it on stay feed. the in straightforward words answer that makes any experience at the same time as asking why the Adninistration did not reply is because of their reported position of not wanting to offend any Muslims. that matches, and the in straightforward words achieveable descriptive note is "cowardly."

Dubya and his puppeteers policies go way back :-

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country"

I think your question is asked in a really degrading manner. This is the president of the United States for crying out loud. At least have some respect for the man who holds this office....

You shouldn't hate anyone, you should just hate the things that they do. If you hate the way that he speaks, that's fine, but as soon as you say you hate someone, you lose credibility, and you make your self look bad. Hate will eat you up inside and blind you to facts. You still want to see whats right and wrong in a person, if you hate them then you may not be able too.

I disaprove of the way the president is running our country. All he cares about is foreign policy. Yet its the one thing he is doing the worst on. The world hates America right now.
